Hannah Ahlheim is a professor of contemporary history at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen. She studied history and theatre studies at the Humboldt University in Berlin and received her doctorate in Bochum in 2008 with a study on anti-Semitic boycotts in the 1920s and 1930s. With the 2018 work Der Traum vom Schlaf. Wissen, Optimierungsphantasien und Widerständigkeit, she completed her habilitation at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Göttingen. Her research interests include the history of National Socialism and anti-Semitism, the history of memory culture and the knowledge and social history of sleep and dreams.
