Tunay Önder works at the interface of text, performance, installation and discourse. She is particularly interested in emancipatory struggles in the context of the migration society. Curatorial projects have taken her to the Münchner Kammerspiele, Wiesbaden Biennale, the Favoriten Festival and the Münchner Stadtmuseum. In addition to her two books “migrantenstadl” (with Imad Mustafa) and “Urteile” (with Christine Umpfenbach and Azar Mortazavi), she publishes in non-fiction and poetry anthologies. In 2022 she was Artist in Residence at the International Writing Program in Iowa (USA). She is currently working at Kunstraum Lothringer13_FLORIDA and for the Munich Cultural Department in the field of public history. Tunay Önder lives in Munich.
