Driant Zeneli

Driant Zeneli (*1983 in Shkoder, Albania) lives in Turin and Milan. In his films and sculptural video installations, the artist interweaves representations of power, science, mythology and fairy tales with individual narratives. Driant Zeneli is particularly interested in developing a different perspective on failure and the possibilities of developing utopias and dreams in any situation, even under adverse circumstances. With his project The Alternative Atelier, the artist organizes workshops for children, using tools such as electronics and robotics to encourage the imagination.
Driant Zeneli presents his work in international exhibitions, most recently at Manifesta 14 in Prishtina (2022). With the installation Maybe the cosmos is not so extraordinary, Driant Zeneli represented the Albanian pavilion at the 58th Venice Biennale in 2019.
