Marta Dyachenko

Marta Dyachenko (*1990 in Kyiv, Ukraine) studied architecture and fine arts at the Berlin University of the Arts and lives in Berlin. In her works, the artist combines elements of landscapes from childhood memories with fragments of modern infrastructural environments. Marta Dyachenko's objects thus create new fictional landscapes that combine two contrasting states - new buildings in the process of being built and ruins. In doing so, Marta Dyachenko examines how humans relate to nature and asks how our view of the landscape is shaped by political, cultural and religious developments.
The artist has presented her works at Kunsthalle Recklinghausen (2024), Galerie Klosterfelde (2024) and Kunsthaus Dahlem (2022) in Berlin, among others. Together with Julius von Bismarck, Marta Dyachenko realized the installation Neustadt (2021) for the permanent sculpture trail Emscherkunstweg in Duisburg.
