Hans Eijkelboom

Hans Eijkelboom has been visiting cities around the world for the last 25 years for his work based around conceptual street photography. When photographing, he pursues a central motif — in particular the fashionable styles and attributes of pedestrians coming towards him — emphasizing differences and similarities equally. This is especially apparent in the juxtaposition of images created on different continents. Hans Eijkelboom works almost exclusively in extensive photographic series, documenting everyday phenomena with an almost sociological approach. For Ruhr Ding, Eijkelboom has developed a new series of work from photographs of couples in Düsseldorf, Amsterdam and Milan. Hans Eijkelboom [born 1949] lives in Amsterdam.
