What does it even mean to be “left” today, in a seemingly dissolving political coordinate system? What does it mean to be “right”? “Rightists” use libertarian strategies of counter-publicity, counter-culture and situationism, “leftists“ discuss concepts like “homeland” and try to adapt to the ongoing discourse. Likewise, new alliances are emerging that previously excluded each other qua ideology. The confrontation with different and shared problems in West and East Germany interests us as much as specific local experiences. In impulse lectures, a discussion round and a reading we want to approach the complex of topics in cooperation with Interkultur Ruhr and invite the audience to a dialogue.
